Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin was the first person to discover the principle of "Conservation of Charge", which is the principle that the total electric charge in an isolated system never changes. He might be most famous among young students for his proposed experiment to prove that lightning is electricity by flying a kite in a storm in 1750. He developed the idea of the lightning rod and bifocals that helped near and far sighted vision impairments. He also conducted experiments and observations about things like refrigeration, temperature's effect on electrical conductivity, oceanography, traction kiting, and demography.
